Job summary

Family Service Association in Mashpee, MA is seeking a part-time Van Driver (30+ hours/week) to transport adults as part of the Adult Day Health program. The role runs Mon–Fri, 6:30–9:30am and 1:30–4:30pm at the Mashpee location, with a $500 sign-on bonus and hourly pay of $20–$21.

Responsibilities include safely transporting participants, maintaining safety equipment, and keeping daily logs. CPR/First Aid certs and a clean driving record are required; drug screening is also required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid MA driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience assisting elders or disabled persons preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and be enrolled in drug testing consortium.

Responsibilities

• Transport participants per DOT rules and safety guidelines.
• Secure safety equipment in the vehicle and maintain logs.
• Report maintenance needs to Transportation Coordinator.
• Keep vans clean and free of hazards; assist at sites as needed.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification and seat belts/tie-downs for passengers.

***$500 SIGN ON BONUS***

We are looking for a part time 30+ hours per week Van Driver to transport our clients for our Adult Day Health program in our Mashpee location. The hourly rate is $20-21 and the position is Monday through Friday split shift, 6:30 - 9:30am and 1:30 - 4:30pm.

The Adult Day Health Program is a medically-based program that helps the participant remain independent while promoting good health and well being.

Job Responsibilities

• Transport program participants according to established safety rules and road regulations, set by D.O.T.


• Secure and maintain all required safety equipment in the vehicle.


• Follow the Vehicle Maintenance Protocol and keep the Transportation Coordinator informed of all service needs.


• Report any problems or maintenance concerns to the Transportation Coordinator.


• Keep exterior and interior of vans clean and free of potentially hazardous materials.


• Assist at sites as needed.


• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.


• Ensure that all passengers have secured seat belts at all times. Ensure wheelchairs are secure with tie downs at all times according to DOT regulations.


• Maintain a daily transportation log.


• Complete a Daily Pre and Post Trip Inspection Form.


• Will drive para van as needed to ensure transportation needs are meet.


• Ensure that the Daily Passenger Log is complete, signed and turned into the Site.

Education And Experience

• Experience with either elders or the disabled (ADH).


• Maintain a valid driver's license with good driving record/proven record of vehicle safety.


• Possess the ability to safely push, pull, load, and unload participants requiring wheelchairs.


• Possess the ability to work with others as part of a team and communicate effectively.


• Successfully pass a preemployment drug test in addition to being enrolled in a drug consortium for random testing.


• Complete and maintain CPR and First Aid certified.


• Experience driving commercial vehicles preferred.


• Must be able to successfully complete a MA State CORI check, CPS check and company paid, pre-employment physical, drug testing and be enrolled in our drug and alcohol testing consortium.
