Job summary

The Northbridge Companies is seeking a Van Driver/Activities Assistant to support our seniors in Andover, MA. You will transport residents safely to appointments and events, and when not driving, help with engaging activities to enhance well-being.

Shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:30am to 3:30pm, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team environment that values compassion, reliability, and clear communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a passenger van safely and responsibly.
• Love connecting with seniors and naturally get along with them.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with seniors.
• Respectful and patient attitude towards residents.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from appointments, outings, and community events.
• Ensure the comfort and well-being of passengers during transit.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the van safely.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the van, conducting routine inspections.
• Assist in community programs and activities as needed.
• Connect with residents personally, understanding what they like and need to make sure activities are enjoyable and meaningful.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and community members.
• Report any issues or incidents promptly.
• Uphold a friendly and helpful demeanor to create a positive experience for residents.

Van Driver Job Summary

Your main responsibility will be to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents. As a Van Driver, you'll contribute to the well-being of our community members by providing reliable transportation for various activities and appointments. When there are no drives to be done, you'll work with the Engagement Director to make our residents' lives more enjoyable with fun and engaging activities. Your role involves creating experiences that cater to their physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being, making our community vibrant and lively.
