Job summary

Jobvite, Inc. is seeking a Van Driver/Activities Assistant to support our Engagement & Activities Team. You will transport residents safely, assist with a variety of activities, and help create a joyful community experience.

Shifts Sundays 9am-3pm, Mondays 9am-5pm, and Wednesdays 9am-5pm; a compassionate approach to seniors and strong safety awareness are essential. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a passenger van safely and responsibly.
• Love connecting with seniors and naturally get along with them.
• Good communication with seniors and staff.
• Respectful and patient attitude toward residents.
• Physical ability to assist residents with boarding and exiting the van.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from appointments, outings, and community events.
• Work with the Engagement Director to help run activities like exercise programs, sessions, art projects, trips, spiritual gatherings, and events with speakers and music.
• Ensure the comfort and well-being of passengers during transit.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the van safely.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the van, conducting routine inspections.
• Assist in community programs and activities as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and community members.
• Report any issues or incidents promptly.
• Uphold a friendly and helpful demeanor to create a positive experience for residents.

Van Driver Job Summary

Your main responsibility will be to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents. As a Van Driver, you'll contribute to the well-being of our community members by providing reliable transportation for various activities and appointments. When drives are not scheduled, the Van Driver will help make our residents' lives more enjoyable with fun and engaging activities.
