Job summary

Branch ISD seeks a dependable Special Education Van Driver to transport students safely to and from school and designated locations. The role requires patience, reliability, and a safety-minded approach, with strong communication with staff and families.

The ideal candidate should hold a High School diploma or GED, a valid Michigan driver's license (chauffeur endorsement preferred), and First Aid/CPR certification. Experience with school vehicles is preferred.

Qualifications

Branch ISD is seeking a dependable and compassionate Special Education Van Driver to safely transport students to and from school and other designated locations. The ideal candidate will be patient, responsible, safety-minded, and comfortable working with students who may have a variety of educational and support needs.

Responsibilities include operating a school van safely, following assigned routes and schedules, assisting students as needed, maintaining a safe and orderly vehicle, and communicating effectively with school staff and families regarding transportation needs.

A strong commitment to student safety, confidentiality, reliability, and positive relationships with students and staff is essential. Appropriate licensing and/or required training will be necessary based on district and state requirements.

Wage Range: $17.16 $22.97 per hour
