Job summary

IHG Hotels is seeking a friendly and professional Shuttle Driver in Washington. You will drive hotel van to guest destinations, assist with luggage, and ensure safety by adhering to state laws and airport rules.

The role requires commuting duties, driving, and excellent guest service, with an hourly pay of $18.40 and a benefits package including insurance and 401k. The position may require nights, weekends, or holidays depending on shift needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year guest service or driver experience preferred.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Other languages preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Drive hotel van or designated vehicles to and from guest destinations in a safe and courteous manner.
• Respond to all guest requests for shuttle service in a prompt and courteous manner; assist guests with luggage while boarding and off loading the vehicle.
• Operate vehicle in accordance with state laws; observe all airport rules pertaining to shuttle vehicles.
• Explain and promote hotel facilities, outlets and services to guest and provide information to guests regarding local attractions and activities.
• Perform daily inspection of vehicles; takes necessary action to correct deficiencies or unsafe conditions; keep vehicle clean and neat at all times.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints, in a prompt and professional manner. Inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied guests.
• Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
• May regularly inspect and clear hotel entrance and surrounding areas of litter and debris.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.

Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with clients, guests and employees.

Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing departmental records/logs, reading road signs, etc..

May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
