Job summary

Triangle Springs in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Van Driver to safely transport patients to and from hospital campuses and designated locations. You will maintain mileage logs, manage gas receipts, and ensure the vehicle is clean and presentable for patient transport.

The role emphasizes patient supervision, safety, and respectful care, with duties including crisis intervention as needed, protecting patient confidentiality, and monitoring vehicle condition.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years paid or volunteer professional driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance.
• Valid CDL preferred, 3 years driving commercially preferred

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely and promptly between locations.
• Maintain daily mileage log and gas receipts.
• Keep vehicle clean and presentable for patient transport.
• Supervise patients; ensure safety and dignity at all times.
• Monitor vehicle condition and report malfunctions to management.

How You'll Contribute

This position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients from various locations and facilities to the Hospital campus and/or other designated locations. This position will maintain a daily log of mileage and gasoline usage and submit all gas receipts to the appropriate person(s). Responsible for cleaning the interior of the car on a regular basis, assuring the vehicle is presentable for the transport of patients. The position will also maintain mileage records for the purpose of scheduling routine maintenance. Responsible for ensuring that patients are supervised; safety is maintained at all times; and patients are treated with respect and dignity.

Additional Responsibilities Include

• Employs appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as required and according to policy and procedure.
• Shuttles patients to appropriate places that are approved by appropriate supervisor.
• Protects patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage and submits to manager.
