Encompass Health is hiring a Van Driver in Abilene, TX to support patient transportation and assist hospital staff in delivering high-quality care. You will be the friendly face for patients, families, staff, and visitors while ensuring safe, on-time transport and appearance of the vehicles.

The role emphasizes safety, CPR readiness, and reliable service in a community-focused hospital environment with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the heaviest class vehicle to be driven.
• CPR and First Aid training.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous transportation experience required.
• Must be 25 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operates transportation vehicles in a safe manner and complies with all traffic laws.
• Maintains appearance of vehicle and promptly reports vehicle maintenance needs.
• Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections.
• Lifts and transfers patients appropriately; applies all safety equipment.
• Is competent in CPR and/or handles any patient emergency.
