Job summary

Collin Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Van Driver to transport patients safely between facilities and designated locations, upholding dignity and comfort. You will be responsible for keeping a daily mileage log, submitting gas receipts, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years driving experience, a valid license with good MVR, CPR and CPI within 30 days, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2+ years paid or volunteer professional driving experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience in a customer service position.
  • Valid driver's license with a favorable MVR and proof of insurance.
  • CPR certification and CPI within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact; overtime may be required.
  • At least 1 year driving 8-12 passenger vans professionally preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely and timely between locations.
  • Maintain daily mileage log and gas receipts.
  • Clean interior and keep the vehicle presentable for patient transport.
  • Maintain mileage records for scheduling routine maintenance.
  • Ensure patient safety and dignity at all times.

How you’ll contribute

A van driver

This position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients from various locations and facilities to the Hospital campus and/or other designated locations. This position will maintain a daily log of mileage and gasoline usage and submit all gas receipts to the appropriate person(s). Responsible for cleaning the interior of the car on a regular basis, assuring the vehicle is presentable for the transport of patients. Position will also maintain mileage records for the purpose of scheduling routine maintenance. Responsible for ensuring that patients are supervised; safety is maintained at all times; and patients are treated with respect and dignity.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a high school diploma. Additional requirements include:

  • Experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Minimum of two (2) years paid or volunteer professional driving experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer service position.
  • Valid driver’s license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
  • At least one (1) year experience driving 8-12 passenger vans professionally preferred.
