Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage carts
• Escort guests to rooms and familiarize them with hotel services and amenities
• Explain features of the room and in-room systems
• Check/store luggage with tags
• Deliver messages to meeting rooms
• Deliver flowers, laundry, and packages to guestrooms
• Assist with room changes
• Maintain listings of local attractions and transportation guides
• Assist Houseperson and front office with guest requests
• Provide information, maps, and directions
• Answer phones to assist guest service agents
• Show guestrooms and suites and highlight hotel amenities
• Support Front Office with miscellaneous tasks

What this role is all about

The Driver/Bellperson is responsible for driving the van to and from the airport according to scheduled van runs and/or as needed for guests and accommodating guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner. He/she is also responsible for assisting with luggage, supporting the Front Desk Team, maintaining a clean work environment in all department areas and miscellaneous tasks assigned by the MOD. Full-Time position needed.

What you’ll be doing

• Load and unload luggage carts
• Escort guests to rooms and familiarize them with hotel services and amenities (hours of outlets, pool, exercise room)
• Explain features of the room, including operation of radio, television, telephone, and in-room movie system
• Check/store luggage for arrivals and departures with luggage tags
• Deliver messages to meeting rooms
• Deliver flowers, laundry, and packages to guestrooms
• Assist with room changes
• Maintain current listing of local and area attractions, special events, and activities
• Maintain a list of local transportation guides, churches, sports arenas
• Assist Houseperson with guest requests
• Ensure the lobby reader board is correct
• Provide information, maps, and directions as required
• Answer phones to assist guest service agents
• Show guestrooms and suites as needed and emphasize the hotel’s amenities with other miscellaneous support to Housekeeping
• Support the Front Office operation with miscellaneous tasks as necessary

Education & Experience

A High School diploma or equivalent is required and/or experience in a hotel or a related field is preferred.

Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.

Must not have any moving violations on driving record.

Physical requirements: Flexible and long hours are sometimes required. Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Ability to stand during entire shift.

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Pay range $17.00 - $20.00 per hour. The base pay offered may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and specific/overall experience.
