Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Transportation Concierge / Van Driver to provide safe, reliable van transportation for residents on a scheduled basis and for special trips. You will assist with routes, maintain logs, and ensure vehicles are clean and well-maintained.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a safe driving record and provide DMV record to Executive Director.
• Must hold a current driver’s license for operating the community vehicle.
• Polite and considerate toward residents, visitors, coworkers and supervisor.
• Be organized and able to work as part of a team.
• Physically and mentally capable of job duties.
• Able to ascend/descend stairs, operate a wheelchair lift, and push a resident in a wheelchair.
• Present residents and the residence in a neat, professional manner; may wear a designated uniform.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule including some weekend/evening hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide van transportation for residents on a scheduled basis and for special trips.
• Assist in developing routes and schedules based on resident needs.
• Maintain mileage, repair, trip and expense logs as required.
• Keep van clean inside and out; report accidents or incidents promptly.
• Support Activities/Programming staff with assigned duties and attend required trainings.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of the department.

Transportation Concierge / Van Driver

• Provide van transportation to the residents on a scheduled basis and for special trips sponsored through the activity department Assist in developing routes and schedules based on resident needs and requests Keep appropriate records.
• Maintain mileage log, repair log, trip and expenses as required Keep receipts for expenses and submit them to Life Enrichment Director Keep van clean inside and out.
• Ensure routine maintenance and needed repairs are performed in a timely manner Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor and Harmony Senior Services immediately.
• Assists Activities/Programming Department with activities as assigned Maintain a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the department Attends all required in-services and staff meetings Completes all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a safe driving record and provide a copy of DMV record to Executive Director
• Must have current driver’s license designated to permit operating the type of vehicle used by the community
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, co-workers and supervisor
• Must be organized and willing to work with others as part of a team
• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing job duties
• Must be able to ascend and descend stairs frequently, operate a wheelchair lift, and push a resident in a wheelchair
• Must be able to represent the residence in a professional manner with neat dress and courteous manner
• May be required to wear designated uniform
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some weekend and evening hours
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Pay Range: $19/hr - $20.50/hr
