Job summary

Sonsray Inc. in Vernon, CA seeks a skilled Reefer Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration systems on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

You will ensure reliability through preventive maintenance and accurate diagnostics, working independently in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Thermo King, Carrier, or similar units, are comfortable using diagnostic tools, and can lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience diagnosing and repairing Thermo King, Carrier, APUs, gensets, and V-series units.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools, scanners, and multi-meters.
• Knowledge of freon systems, leak detection, soldering, and refrigeration component replacement.
• EPA 608/609 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in shop/outdoor conditions.
• Basic computer literacy for diagnostics and repair logging.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis & Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair components of truck, trailer, V-series refrigeration units, gensets, and APUs.
• Maintenance & Installation: Perform preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service of refrigeration equipment.
• Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate records of transport refrigeration unit services and prepare estimates.
