Job summary

VACCO Industries an RBC Company in South El Monte, CA, seeks an Assy & Test/Tech 'A' for Navy on 2nd shift. You will assemble pneumatic and hydraulic valves and conduct tests on systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit function per acceptance procedures.

Responsibilities include high pressure and cryogenic testing, blueprint-based assembly and testing, calibrating instruments, analyzing results, recording data, and collaborating with engineers and QA to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical certificate or HS diploma with 3–5 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conducts high pressure and cryogenic testing safely.
• Assembles and tests valves and filters from blueprints.
• Calibrates test instruments to specifications.
• Analyzes test results and adjusts equipment to meet specs.
• Records test procedures and data.
• Verifies dimensions with micrometers and depth mikes.
• Operates Instron machines, mass spectrometer, and related equipment.
• Collaborates with engineers and QA to resolve issues.
• Maintains documentation of results and procedures.
• Assesses defective units to determine failure causes.
