Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Valve Technician in New Castle, PA, to assemble automated valve packages, test them, and troubleshoot in-house or on-site. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork to support a major industrial distributor.

You will interact with sales, management, and customers, and contribute to training on automated valves while ensuring timely order fulfillment in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Ability to read customer technical data and schematics.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Valve Technician. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm + OT as needed

Responsibilities

As a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:

• Responsible for assembly of all automated packages
• Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product
• Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center
• Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel
• Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages
• Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs
• Assist with developing automated valve sales training program
• Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data
• Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• 0 to 3 years experience is preferred
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics
• Ability to multi‑task and meet order deadlines
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control
• Be goal oriented, self‑motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere
• Possess a positive attitude
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

Pay Range:

$16.53 - $24.81

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
