Job summary

Equipment & Controls, Inc. is seeking a technically skilled technician to assemble valve actuation packages and service safety and isolation valves at our Lawrence, PA facility.

The role requires hands-on work with electrical and pneumatic systems, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional travel to field sites to support customers. The ideal candidate will have a two-year vocational or technical degree or 5+ years in industrial settings, practical mechanical tool proficiency, and the ability to work

• MUST have a minimum of a 2-year vocational or technical college degree OR a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment (automotive service experience preferred). Military experience in this or a related field will also be considered

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble valve actuation packages
• Repair and assemble safety relief valves
• Disassemble, evaluate, rebuild and test Isolation and Control valves
• Troubleshoot electrical instrumentation components
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform work outdoors

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

• MUST have a minimum of a 2-year vocational or technical college degree OR a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment (automotive service experience preferred). Military experience in this or a related field will also be considered
• Proficient with mechanical tools and equipment
• Basic understanding of the operating principles, installation and maintenance of AC and DC electrical circuits
• Basic understanding of the operating principles, installation and maintenance of pneumatic circuits
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
• Ability to work any overtime required to complete an assignment (including weekend work when necessary)
• Ability to travel out of town and work in the field when required
• Personable and willing to interact professionally with gas industry customers
• Willing to work individually or as a team member
