Equipment & Controls, Inc. seeks a capable technician for valve actuation assembly, valve maintenance, and field service across industrial settings.

The role requires handling assemblies, testing, and occasional field travel to support customers in maintaining high reliability of control valves and related instrumentation. Ideal candidates will have a 2-year technical degree or 5+ years in manufacturing, proficiency with tools, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Proficient with mechanical tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of AC/DC electrical circuits and pneumatic systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble valve actuation packages
• Repair and assemble safety relief valves
• Disassemble, evaluate, rebuild and test Isolation and Control valves
• Troubleshoot electrical instrumentation components
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform work outdoors

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

• MUST have a minimum of a 2-year vocational or technical college degree OR a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment (automotive service experience preferred). Military experience in this or a related field will also be considered
• Proficient with mechanical tools and equipment
• Basic understanding of the operating principles, installation and maintenance of AC and DC electrical circuits
• Basic understanding of the operating principles, installation and maintenance of pneumatic circuits
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
• Ability to work any overtime required to complete an assignment (including weekend work when necessary)
• Ability to travel out of town and work in the field when required
• Personable and willing to interact professionally with gas industry customers
• Willing to work individually or as a team member
