Job summary

Equipment & Controls, Inc. in Lawrence, PA, seeks a valve technician to assemble actuation packages, repair safety relief valves, and service isolation and control valves on site or in the field. The role requires mechanical aptitude, electrical/pneumatic understanding, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• MUST have a minimum of a 2-year vocational or technical college degree OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (automotive service experience preferred). Military experience in this or related field will also be considered.
• Proficient with mechanical tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of AC and DC electrical circuits.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic circuits.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to travel out of town and work in the field when required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assemble valve actuation packages

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

• MUST have a minimum of a 2-year vocational or technical college degree OR a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment (automotive service experience preferred). Military experience in this or a related field will also be considered
• Proficient with mechanical tools and equipment
• Basic understanding of the operating principles, installation and maintenance of AC and DC electrical circuits
• Basic understanding of the operating principles, installation and maintenance of pneumatic circuits
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
• Ability to work any overtime required to complete an assignment (including weekend work when necessary)
• Ability to travel out of town and work in the field when required
• Personable and willing to interact professionally with gas industry customers
• Willing to work individually or as a team member
