Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a hands-on Machinist to support repair and refurbishment of nuclear and fossil valves. The role involves disassembly, inspection, cleaning, machining, assembly, and comprehensive testing in a shop setting.

You’ll work with radial drills, lathes, and boring mills, ensuring precision per drawings and specifications. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of machining experience, can obtain forklift/crane licenses, and are comfortable with shop math, metrology, and respirator

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of machining and mechanical experience.
• Ability to obtain fork truck/crane license.
• Ability to use shop math, read and interpret drawings, calculate dimensional targets and perform basic metrology.
• Must be capable of wearing a respirator and pass a competency test.
• Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate - Silver Status required.

Responsibilities

• Disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and surface preparation of valves.
• Repair, assembly, and functional testing of components.
• Operate manual machine tools and set up equipment per specifications.
• Load/unload parts using material handling equipment and assist crane operators.
• Follow safety, quality, and operational standards.
