Job summary

The Dixon Group is seeking a Valve Assembler in Houston, TX, to perform valve manufacturing duties including cleaning, assembling, testing, and packaging of customer orders. May use automated testing equipment. The role requires reading blueprints and following strict procedures within a Monday–Friday shift.

Qualifications

• Integrity and reliability in completing tasks.
• Attention to detail with precise workmanship.
• Familiarity with hydrostatic testing equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to read measuring equipment and pressure gauges.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, NDT test, package, and ship valves per written procedures.
• Fill out and maintain material traceability documents for valves and components.
• Assemble, disassemble, repair, and recondition industrial valves per drawings and work instructions.
• Perform functional, pneumatic, hydrostatic, and leak testing to verify valve performance.
• Inspect components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation for production, inspection, and testing.
• Operate hand tools, torque tools, lifting equipment, and testing fixtures safely.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and safety requirements.
