Job summary

The Dixon Group is seeking a Valve Assembler to join our Houston, TX team. You will perform valve manufacturing duties including cleaning, assembling, testing, and packaging of customer orders, with potential use of automated testing equipment.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated loyalty and integrity in completing tasks.
  • Ability to read measuring equipment and pressure gauges.
  • Familiarity with hydrostatic testing equipment.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, NDT test, package, and ship valves per procedures.
  • Fill out and maintain material traceability documents.
  • Assemble, disassemble, repair, and recondition industrial valves.
  • Perform functional, pneumatic, hydrostatic, and leak tests.
  • Inspect components with precision measuring equipment.
  • Read blueprints, BOMs, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain production, inspection, and testing documentation.
  • Operate hand tools, torque tools, lifting equipment, and testing fixtures safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area following 5S and safety rules.

Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

The Dixon Group is looking for a Valve Assembler to join our team in Houston, TX! In this position, you will perform a variety of valve manufacturing duties that will include cleaning, assembling, testing, and packaging of customer orders. May use automated testing equipment.

What You'll Do


  • Assemble, NDT test, package, and ship valves in accordance with strict written procedures.

  • Fill out and maintain the material traceability documents needed for the tracking of the valve and components.

  • Assemble, disassemble, repair, and recondition industrial valves according to engineering drawings and work instructions.

  • Perform functional, pneumatic, hydrostatic, and leak testing to verify valve performance.

  • Inspect components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, and technical specifications.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for production, inspection, and testing.

  • Operate hand tools, torque tools, lifting equipment, and testing fixtures safely.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and safety requirements.
