Job summary

The Dixon Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Valve Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will perform valve assembly, testing, cleaning, and packaging of customer orders, following strict procedures and using automated testing equipment as needed.

This full-time role offers competitive compensation and a Monday–Friday shift. The ideal candidate can read blueprints, use measuring equipment, and maintain accurate production documentation while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials and technical specifications.
• Able to lift 30 lbs and operate hand tools safely.
• Familiarity with hydrostatic testing equipment and measuring gauges.
• Basic computer skills to document production activities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, NDT test, package, and ship valves per procedures.
• Fill out material traceability documents for valve tracking.
• Assemble, disassemble, repair, and recondition valves per drawings.
• Perform functional, pneumatic, hydrostatic, and leak testing.
• Inspect components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy.
• Read blueprints and BOMs; maintain production documentation.
• Operate hand tools, torque tools, lifting equipment and fixtures safely.
• Keep work area clean, organized and compliant with 5S and safety rules.
