Job summary

McKenzie Valve & Machining, part of Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, seeks a skilled Valve Technician for second shift to repair, disassemble, inspect, and test various valves following ASME and QC procedures. You will document calibrations, communicate updates, and ensure safety compliance.

Responsibilities include thorough cleaning, measuring, reassembly, and testing; adherence to schematics and OSHA safety requirements; and collaboration with team and management to meet

Qualifications

• Valve repair and testing experience.
• Ability to read schematics and follow QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Repair and test various valves (ball, gate, butterfly, safety relief) as specified.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, measure, reassemble and test valves.
• Follow schematics and procedures per QC and ASME standards.
• Complete calibration and documentation for testing and repairs.
• Communicate status updates to management, coworkers, and customers.

Job Requirements:

• Responsible for repair and testing of various valves, including but not limited to ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, safety relief valves, etc.
• Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly, and testing of valves.
• Follow all schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all Quality Control and ASME National Board standards that apply to the job.
• Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs.
• Communicate timely updates to management, co-workers, and customers to ensure timely and successful completion of job responsibilities.
• Works closely with co-workers, management, and safety manager to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
