Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly documentation, and P&IDs.
  • Perform valve troubleshooting, repair, and corrective adjustments.

Title: Assembly Specialist – Valve Assembly

Location: Pasadena, Texas

Details: Contract with ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire, fully onsite role

Pay Rate: $28.00 – 30.00/hr. with benefit inclusions

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Valve Assemblers to support the assembly, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial valve products. This role requires hands-on experience assembling valves from individual components, installing and bending stainless steel tubing, interpreting technical drawings, and performing mechanical troubleshooting. Candidates must have direct valve assembly experience; individuals whose background is limited to valve installation, maintenance, or field service are not a fit for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble industrial valves from components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly procedures.
  • Calibrate valves and verify proper functionality and performance.
  • Install, fabricate, and bend stainless steel tubing to required specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly documentation, and P&IDs.
  • Perform valve troubleshooting, repair, and corrective adjustments.
  • Conduct pressure testing and hydro testing when applicable.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
  • Set up and verify actuators, positioners, and associated valve components.
  • Perform leak testing and identify root causes of assembly or performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate assembly and test records while following all safety and quality procedures.
Years of Experience and Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training, vocational certification, or related mechanical education preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on valve assembly experience required.
  • Experience with pressure safety valves, control valves, Becker valves, or similar industrial valve products strongly preferred.
