Job summary

Texas Pipe And Supply Company in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Valve Technician to repair and service a range of valves and actuators at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, disassemble, reassemble, and test components, while maintaining accurate field service reports and ensuring safety at all times.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of valve repair experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

2+ years of valve production or repair experience.
High School diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and other technical diagrams.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Repair ball, gate, globe, check and butterfly valves, or actuators at job worksites.
Troubleshoot, inspect, and test valves mechanically and electrically.
Perform pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and assembly of valves and actuators.
Complete field service reports and submit to the job coordinator after work.
Communicate effectively with plant personnel and understand customer requirements.
Obtain site-specific safety training and maintain company vehicle in good condition.
Assist others as required and adapt to management direction.
