Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Renton, WA seeks a results-driven manufacturing leader to drive LEAN initiatives, production planning and on-time delivery. The role coordinates engineering, quality, supply chain and HR to optimize the value stream and implement continuous improvement programs in a world-class facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership/management role.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the aerospace industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new product introductions with engineering and manufacturing.
• Lead and manage production floor team leaders; optimize manpower; act as IT contact.
• Maintain productive relationships with production staff across service departments.
• Lead Lean/CI initiatives and regular reporting on improvements.
• Work with Supply Chain to assure materials availability for lines of business.
• Own and represent the entire value stream in production meetings.
• Support QMS and AS9100 requirements for the production area.
• Communicate commitments to customers and ensure timely responses to escapes and CARs.
• Clear roadblocks to ensure smooth flow in collaboration with Quality, Engineering, Design, Sales, Finance, etc.
• Hire, train, and manage department personnel; oversee expenses and OT budgets.
• Support 5S and Lean/CI projects; lead minimum of 3 Six Sigma/Lean events annually.
• Schedule and prioritize work to meet production requirements and on-time customer orders.
