Job summary

Crane Company is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee vacuum jacketed pipe manufacturing in Montgomery, TX. You will lead safety, quality, delivery, and profitability goals while coaching teams and improving processes.

This role requires strong scheduling, lean methods, and cross‑functional collaboration with R&D, QA, and Engineering to maintain daily and monthly production plans, and to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Production Management.
• Advanced knowledge of Lean techniques with a track record of implementation.
• Thorough knowledge of production scheduling and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and communication across organizational levels.
• Relentless about continuous improvement and process mapping.

Responsibilities

• Build and communicate daily shop-floor schedules, sequences, and assignments; review material, equipment, and labor availability.
• Monitor welding, machining, processing, and assembly to ensure conformance to drawings, procedures, inspections, and safety practices.
• Review daily schedule attainment, output, quality, and WIP; address misses and drive recovery actions.
• Compare actual production with schedules; identify delays, assign corrective actions, and follow up through completion.
• Confirm equipment readiness daily; coordinate maintenance with the production schedule and ensure safe operation.
• Translate monthly production requirements into weekly/daily schedules; review capacity, staffing, materials, and downtime with leadership and flag gaps.
