Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling is seeking a Value Engineer (I or II) in Sulligent, AL. This full-time, on-site role focuses on cost evaluation of Bolzoni Group products, with collaboration across Manufacturing and Supply Chain to optimize production processes during industrialization.

Emphasis on AI and automation to transform cost estimation. The candidate should have a engineering background, exposure to AI tools, and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on cost and process improvements.
• Experience with ERP/engineering systems (SAP, Teamcenter, NX) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs for new products or localization.
• Use AI tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings for products in production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales during industrialization to reduce quoting time.
• Check product cost variance after design changes.
• Assist with industrialization and pre-production activities.
• Implement workflow automation to improve cost analysis.
• Identify AI-driven analytics opportunities.
