Network Distribution is seeking a Value Chain Business Analyst in Schaumburg, IL to examine, analyze, and report supply chain data to boost productivity for Members and suppliers.

You will collect transactional data, evaluate performance, and develop scorecards and financial simulations to improve efficiency and profitability across the value chain.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations and/or analytics.
• Proficient in analytics linking supply chain to operations, sales and finance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, or APICS/ASCM as a plus.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Value Chain Business Analyst is responsible for the examination, analysis, and reporting of supply chain related data in an on-going effort to increase overall supply chain productivity with Network Members and suppliers. The Value Chain Business Analyst will support the collection of transactional and operational data and evaluate performance based on modeled assumptions and Value Chain project goals while taking into consideration operational capabilities for the business receiving the analysis. The development and tracking of supply chain information, the use of score carding, and the development of financial simulations will be critical to enhance the understanding of the businesses that are evaluated and to improve overall supply chain efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, evaluate, and report data to increase supply chain efficiency.
• Aid in the analysis of member and supplier value chain activities to determine operational savings and improved business performance.
• Support Value Chain team in creating & generating reports for inventory analysis and performance, sku rationalization, and profitability for Members and suppliers. Will provide ongoing adhoc reporting as needed.
• Coordinate data extractions with membership and suppliers as requested by Value Chain leader.
• Maintain multiple databases and design new reports as needed
• Maintain the confidential nature of the work conducted
• Participate in Member and Supplier meetings to communicate Value Chain current initiatives, analytical results, and goals.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recommend ways/methods to improve efficiency and productivity of the department.
• Additional projects and assignments as requested by the department manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Work History Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience in supply chain operations and/or analytics with a strong knowledge of end-end supply chain processes.
• Must be proficient in analytic processes and capable of understanding the link of supply chain activities with operations, sales, and finance.
• Education Requirements
• Bachelor's degree - preferred Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, or APICS/ASCM Certification strongly preferred

TECHNOLOGY AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

• High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Experience or knowledge of basic database concepts and SQL
• Experience with Tableau or PowerBi preferred
