Job summary

Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Business Analyst to design, develop, and support analytics and process improvement solutions. You will partner with Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

You will develop reports and dashboards using Power BI and SQL, integrate data from multiple sources, and support change management and training for end users across the supply chain organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years in business analysis, analytics development, systems support, or process improvement in manufacturing/logistics.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating into technical solutions.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Supply Chain and IT to identify needs and develop tech-enabled solutions.
• Solicit, analyze, document, and prioritize requirements and translate into specifications.
• Develop, maintain, optimize reports, dashboards, data models, and ETL processes using Power BI, SQL, Palantir.
• Collaborate to integrate data from multiple sources ensuring data quality, governance, and security.
• Design, develop, and monitor KPIs and visualizations to support decisions.
• Analyze logistics, inventory, transportation, warehouse operations for efficiency and cost reductions.
• Lead or support system implementations, upgrades, testing, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain documentation, testing procedures, training materials, and user guides.
• Train end users and act as subject matter expert for supply chain systems and analytics tools.
• Support change management and adoption of new processes and technologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen decision-making via data and tech.
• Contribute to continuous improvement using Kaizen, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, SWOT.

Job description

The Supply Chain Business Analyst partners with Supply Chain, Operations, Information Technology, and other business stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and support analytics, systems, and process improvement solutions that enhance operational performance and enable data-driven decision making. This role serves as a business and technical liaison, translating business requirements into scalable solutions while supporting data integration, reporting, analytics, process optimization, testing, training, and change management initiatives across the supply chain organization.

Essential Job Functions

• Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain business functions and Information Technology to identify business needs and develop technology-enabled solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to solicit, analyze, document, and prioritize business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and actionable solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize reports, dashboards, data models, ETL processes, and analytical tools utilizing platforms such as Power BI, SQL, Palantir, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with system owners and technical resources to integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality, integrity, governance, and security.
• Design, develop, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, and visualizations to support strategic and operational decision making.
• Analyze logistics, inventory management, transportation, warehouse operations, packaging, and material flow processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
• Conduct scenario analysis, capacity planning, contingency planning, and operational modeling to support business objectives and supply chain stability.
• Lead or support system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, testing activities, and deployment efforts.
• Develop and maintain documentation, testing procedures, business processes, training materials, and user guides.
• Train and support end users, serving as a subject matter expert for supply chain systems, reporting solutions, and analytical tools.
• Act as a change champion by supporting change management activities and ensuring successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes, increase operational efficiencies, and strengthen decision-making capabilities through data and technology.
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives utilizing methodologies such as Kaizen, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and SWOT analysis.
• Provide ongoing operational and technical support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and recommendations for process and system improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience in business analysis, analytics development, systems support, or process improvement within a manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or related environment.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data-driven insights.
• Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant experience in supply chain analytics, business systems, data management, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with Palantir, AWS cloud technologies, ETL tools, and enterprise reporting platforms.
• Knowledge of relational and dimensional database design principles.
• Experience with supply chain modeling, network optimization, inventory management, transportation management, or warehouse operations.
• Experience supporting enterprise system implementations, upgrades, or integrations.
