Job summary

CenterWell in The Villages, a Humana Inc. subsidiary, is seeking a Primary Care Physician for our Santa Barbara Center in The Villages, FL.

This role focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, preventive health, and addressing social determinants of health to improve outcomes in an aging population. You will work 40 hours per week in a patient-facing, onsite setting, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in our TB screening program as part of Humana's care model.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine, board certified or board eligible in geriatrics, family, or internal medicine.
• Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment (or willing to obtain).
• Current, unrestricted DEA license.

You will have the opportunity take a hands-on approach, addressing patient needs inside the exam room and look beyond to understand how social determinants of health are affecting health outcomes. As a Primary Care Physician, you will report to our Associate Medical Director. This role will be onsite and in-person at the Santa Barbara Center in The Villages, FL.

Job Description

As the Primary Care Physician you will focus on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. You will keep a medical history and medical records. Refer patients to specialists. Influence clinic department's strategy. You will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues. You will have considerable latitude in determining best approaches to assignments.

Additional Job Description

• A day in the life of a CenterWell physician Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm See 12-14 patients per day. Opportunity to spend more time with patients Spend 100% of your time clinically focused on direct patient care, inclusive of patient-facing time and general administrative time as it relates to direct patient care
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Required Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Board certified or board eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment (or willing to obtain)

Current, unrestricted DEA license

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two+ years of experience
• 1+ years of experience managing Medicare Advantage panel of patients
• Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage.
• Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
