Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals seeks a Value Analysis Specialist, RN to oversee systemwide medical supply selection for Med Surg units and physician practices. You will lead the VAC, conduct cost/benefit analyses, and ensure contract compliance while presenting clinical quality research to the VAST led by CMOs.

The role involves identifying substitutes during backorders, collaborating with Risk Management on recalls/alerts, and serving as a system administrator for recalls.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required with bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Master’s in nursing or health admin/ MBA preferred.
• Experience in acute clinical care and supply ordering or leadership recommended.

Responsibilities

• Oversee systemwide medical supply selection for nursing units and practices.
• Lead the Value Analysis Committee (VAC) and coordinate product selection.
• Perform cost/benefit analyses and present findings to VAST and CMOs.
• Identify substitute products during backorders and ensure contract compliance.
• Collaborate with Risk Management on recalls/alerts and quality issues.
