Job summary

Regal Rexnord Cleveland is hiring a Manual Grinder/Setup Operator for 1st shift, onsite. Pay ranges from $24.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience. The role focuses on setting up CNC lathe equipment, interpreting drawings, and ensuring quality per ISO standards.

The candidate will read blueprints, select and verify tooling, inspect finished parts, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. 1 year certificate or 6–12 months related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year certificate preferred.
• 6 months–1 year related experience or training.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written directions.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices including micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Set up to operate CNC Lathe machinery in accordance with production standards and ISO 9001.
• Inspect product to print and identify defects; perform deburring if needed.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and shop orders to plan work sequences.
• Select and mount tools from the tool crib, ensure tool accuracy.
• Move finished material to the next workstation and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Open Position: Manual Grinder/Setup Operator on 1st shift

Pay Range: $24.00-$30.00 based on experience

As a Value Added Set up Operator at Regal Rexnord Cleveland your focus will be to:

• Set up to operate CNC Lathe machinery upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts and shop orders to plan and check work.
• Obtain proper set of tools from tool crib, select holders, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy.
• Interpret drawings, route sheets, diagrams, specifications, and instructions to determine proper operation sequences.
• Make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments.
• Move completed material to the next workstation.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Education and Experience Requirements

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• 6 months - 1-year related experience or training.

• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers. Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.

• Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.
