Job summary

Baker Tilly US, a leading CPA advisory firm, seeks a Principal in Valuation Services to lead the New York metro practice. You will drive business development, oversee engagements, and mentor a talented staff while partnering with firm leadership to grow client relationships.

You will mentor teams, develop thought leadership, and represent Baker Tilly in industry forums, conferences, and client meetings, helping the practice scale and maintain top quality service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or economics required.
• MBA or Master’s in Business Valuations preferred.
• CPA, CFA or ASA designation required.
• Minimum fifteen (15+) years of related experience in a complex organization; public accounting or professional services background preferred.
• History of relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
• Must demonstrate success in leading business development, project delivery and practice development.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage the New York-based Valuation Consulting team, developing an area of expertise.
• Manage/perform consulting engagements as required.
• Build networks with private equity firms to acquire new repeat sources, clients and projects.
• Collaborate with other offices and industry groups to grow consulting practices.
• Attend valuations industry events and contribute to firm-wide marketing and sales programs.
• Assist in developing training programs for clients and prospects.
• Present topics at Valuation seminars and webinars and write for valuation publications.
• Develop speaking engagements at industry conferences and events.
