Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP seeks a Manager for its Valuation Services team in Houston, TX. The role leads complex valuation engagements from planning through delivery for external clients and internal audits.

You will mentor staff, drive innovation with AI tools, and collaborate across service lines to deliver comprehensive solutions while supporting business development and market expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CFA and/or ASA credential preferred.
• 5+ years of valuation services experience in public accounting, consulting, investment banking, or similar environment.
• Expertise across multiple valuation disciplines including pre-deal valuation, purchase price allocations, tax valuation, portfolio valuation, and impairment analyses.
• Advanced financial modeling, accounting, corporate finance, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in fast-paced settings.
• Working knowledge of AI technologies and platforms to enhance valuation analyses.
• Proven ability to build relationships and contribute to business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage valuation engagements from planning through delivery for external clients and internal audit support initiatives.
• Serve as day-to-day project leader across a diverse portfolio of valuation services.
• Partner with practice leadership on business development and market expansion opportunities.
• Represent the firm through presentations, industry conferences, and thought leadership activities.
• Identify and manage project risks while maintaining high-quality client service and engagement profitability.
• Mentor and develop professionals across the valuation team with ongoing feedback and career guidance.
• Evaluate staff performance through engagement reviews and year-end assessments.
• Drive innovation by integrating AI-enabled solutions into valuation processes and client engagements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across service lines to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
