Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing degrees in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, or an equivalent program.
• Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data and analytics preferred.
• Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills; professional demeanor and collaborative leadership.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Analyze competitive industry dynamics and financial condition of peer companies, evaluate business plans, adjust financial statements and build financial models, including DCF, CAPM, market multiples and replacement cost valuation approaches.
• Participate in due diligence on mergers and acquisitions, PPA, impairment, restructurings, and fairness opinions for various clients.
• Research, analyze and communicate key qualitative factors and quantitative drivers of companies and industries.
• Analyze data and prepare documentation for financial reporting, tax and other business purposes using Excel, Access, Power BI, Alteryx and similar tools.
• Prepare proposals, executive presentations, memos and valuation reports detailing methodologies, inputs and assumptions.
• Build capabilities in technologies enabling tax professionals, including AI, Alteryx, Power BI, and related tools.
