Job summary

LendingOne, LLC, a leading private lender focused on real estate professionals, seeks a Director of Valuation & Collateral Risk to lead valuation and appraisal functions. You will oversee internal and third-party appraisals, set standards, and drive continuous improvement to support scalable growth and risk controls across our lending platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in residential real estate valuation and collateral risk.
• Experience with DSCR and investor real estate lending; new-construction experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of appraisal methodology, comparable selection, after-repair value, and collateral risk.
• Proven success leading a small, high-accountability team in a fast-moving lending environment.
• Experience managing appraisal/valuation vendors, SLAs, and remediation.
• Ability to translate credit policy into repeatable rules, workflows, and tech requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with loan-level data and performance metrics.
• Executive-level communication to balance risk, speed, customer experience and investor expectations.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain valuation policy across DSCR rental, bridge, fix-and-flip, fix-to-rent, and construction lending products.
• Provide senior-level review and escalation for complex appraisals and disputes.
• Establish standards for appraisal, broker price opinion, inspection, and automated valuation products.
• Ensure valuation practices align with credit appetite, investor requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Partner with Credit, Underwriting, Asset Management and Capital Markets on collateral risk.
