Job summary

LEARN Academy is seeking an onsite School-Based Speech Therapist to support comprehensive special education services for students with needs in Vallejo, CA. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement speech-language interventions aligned with IEP goals.

You will work across school settings with teachers, administrators, and families, providing training and ensuring accurate documentation while adhering to LRE principles.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Maintain license per ASHA requirements.
• Current CA Licensure and COC or CTC (or willing to obtain).
• Current negative TB skin test or risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' communication abilities across articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
• Develop and implement speech-language therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate strategies into curricula and provide consultative services.
• Contribute to the IEP process with progress insights and intervention recommendations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress; participate in meetings and professional development.
• Provide trainings to instructional and related staff and mentor assistants or students.
