Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Program Validation & Safety Engineer (PVSE) to join the Global Product Validation Team. You will drive data-driven validation, develop KPI dashboards, and ensure regulatory compliance across vehicle programs.

Using Jira, Power BI, Python, and Databricks, you’ll automate analytics, mentor teams on new tools, and champion Lean Six Sigma improvements while delivering clear, actionable insights for leadership. This hybrid role is based in Warren, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, IT, data analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years in data analysis, validation, or technical role.
• Strong Jira and Power BI proficiency.
• Python scripting and data pipeline automation.
• Experience with Excel/Google Sheets for data integration.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards (Power BI) for validation metrics.
• Create and manage Jira workflows and boards for validation tasks.
• Build data pipelines using Python and Databricks; automate data analysis.
• Maintain SharePoint sites and other data repositories.
• Lead training and adoption of new tracking systems and AI-assisted workflows.
• Support continuous improvement via Lean Six Sigma.
