Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Houston seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead validated-environment construction projects across multiple sites, coordinating Owners, Architects, Engineers, QA/Validation, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.

You will develop validation strategies, manage budgets and schedules, prepare for regulatory inspections, and drive continuous improvement in data integrity and process quality within GMP/GLP ISO 17025 contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Eng, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5–10 years of direct project management on large capital projects in regulated or validated settings.
• Experience delivering multi-site projects in validated environments (GMP/GLP/ISO 17025).
• Understanding of contract language, project accounting, and basic portfolio management in validated environments.
• Strong executive communication and ability to present to senior leadership.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in regulated contexts.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office; dashboard creation.
• Working knowledge of validation concepts, commissioning/qualification, data integrity, regulatory expectations.
• Willingness to travel and operate across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor, and close validated environment projects across multiple sites.
• Coordinate Owners, Architects, Engineers, QA/Validation, Contractors, and Vendors.
• Define and maintain project scope, schedule, and budget baselines; report deviations.
• Develop validation strategies and documentation aligned with policy.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; elevate with remedies.
• Track and report project performance to the Project Executive.
• Manage change orders, delays, procurement, and contract administration.
• Ensure documentation controls meet QA and regulatory standards.
• Seek opportunities to improve validation workflows and data integrity.
• Maintain relationships with sponsors and stakeholders; advise on delivery and compliance.
• Manage vendor performance and ensure timeline alignment.
• Manage project finances: budgeting, forecasting, progress billings, payables.
• Prepare for regulatory inspections and audits.
• Foster safe, compliant environment; mentor junior team members.
