Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a Valet Attendant in Chicago to work overnight (10pm–6:30am). You will welcome guests, issue valet tickets, and orchestrate safe car retrieval with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include greeting customers by name, assisting with luggage, directing traffic, and keeping operations smooth. A valid driver's license with 2+ years of driving experience is required; knowledge of manual transmission is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate professionally.

Pay Rate: $17.35/hr

Schedule: O/N 10pm-6:30am

A LAZ Valet Attendant plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the first person our clients and customers see upon arrival, and the last person our clients & customers see when they depart. What does a day in the life of a LAZ Valet Attendant look like?

People

• Welcome guests upon arrival and departure.


• Greet all customers by name, take care of their needs, and develop a rapport with each person driving up to your stand.


• Provide each customer with a valet ticket and provide an explanation of the retrieval process.


• Promote awesome customer relations. Smile, go above and beyond, make them love LAZ Parking the moment they meet you.

Parking

• Engine off, keys out - turn off each car and remove keys.


• Park and retrieve cars like a champ. This means carefully, efficiently, and in a timely manner.


• Open and close doors for every customer upon arrival and departure.


• Assist guests with luggage from vehicle and to vehicle as necessary.


• Help direct traffic to keep the flow of cars clean and organized, all with a smile on your face!

What would we like you to bring to the team?

• Strong customer service experience.


• Valid driver’s license required with 2+ years of driving experience.


• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.


• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.


• Ability to speak, read, and comprehends the English language.


• Ability to drive a standard transmission is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.


• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
