Job summary

Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a part-time Valet Attendant. You greet members and guests, assist them from and into vehicles, and help park and retrieve cars quickly and safely. This role reflects the first and last impression of the Club.

Must be 21+, able to drive safely, and capable of standing outdoors, with strength to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior valet or hospitality experience is preferred; holidays and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or club experience is preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate luxury/exotic vehicles.
• Ability to operate manual transmission; motorcycles preferred.
• Previous valet experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests and assist them in and out of vehicles.
• Maintain courteous demeanor reflecting the club's high standards.
• Follow shift procedures and perform side work.
• Be aware of weekly events and member arrivals.
• Keep valet area clean and organized; manage keys and belongings.
• Safely park vehicles and summon taxi or driver services as needed.

Valet Attendant

Must be able to work part time, including holidays and weekends. Please note Big Canyon Country Club has a non-gratuity policy.

The Valet Attendant reports to the Valet Supervisor. They greet members and guests, assist them from and into their vehicles, parks and retrieves their cars safely and quickly. As a Valet team member, you are the first and last impression of the Club, and are expected to be courteous, polite, and helpful. This position is part time.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greeting members and guests while assisting them from and into vehicles.
• Maintaining a courteous, polite and helpful demeanor and attitude
• Follow opening-shift, mid-shift, and closing shift procedures and side work duties
• Having knowledge of the events of the week, including new member arrivals, visitor cards, etc.
• Upholding a clean and presentable valet area including appearance and organization of member keys and belongings
• Properly marking all valet claim tickets with name, vehicle information, and location of vehicles
• Safely operating and parking member vehicles, guest vehicles and club property vehicles
• Summoning and dispatching Taxi or driver services for members

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications

• Prior club or hospitality experience preferred
• Must be 21 years of age and have a safe driving record with an active driver’s license
• Ability to operate luxury and exotic vehicles
• Ability to operate manual transmission and motorcycles is preferred
• Previous valet experience preferred
• Ability to be on feet for long periods of time in an outdoor setting
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
