Job summary

Heritage Hotels & Resorts in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Valet Attendant to create a welcoming first and last impression for guests. You’ll assist with vehicle parking, luggage, and provide insights on hotel outlets and local attractions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and assist in and out of vehicles.
• Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles following safety procedures.
• Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on hotel outlets, amenities, events and local attractions.
• Maintain ADA parking knowledge and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Security and other departments as needed.
• Keep the driveway, porte-cochere, and parking area clean and organized.
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with grooming standards.
• Protect assets and confidentiality of guest information.

We are searching for a Valet Attendant that is crucial to the guest experience, serving as the first and last personal contact upon arrival and departure. This role is responsible for providing organized, service-oriented assistance to ensure a welcoming arrival. Key duties include offering vehicle assistance, helping with luggage during both check-in and check-out, and offering informative guidance on the hotel's amenities, outlets, and nearby attractions.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive at the property and provide assistance in and out of vehicles.
• Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in accordance with company safety and security procedures.
• Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out, ensuring careful handling and professional service.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding hotel outlets, amenities, events and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain knowledge of ADA parking procedures and all safety and security protocols.
• Communicate and partner with Front Office, Security and other departments as needed to support guest needs.
• Maintain awareness of guest flow and arrival patterns to ensure efficient and organized service.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct in accordance with uniform and grooming standards.
• Ensure the hotel's driveway, porte-cochere, and parking area are kept clean and tidy.
• Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary, client and guest information.
• Other duties as assigned with the functions of this position as needed at the property.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast paced guest-facing environment.
• Strong awareness of safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments to support guest experience.
• Minimum age of 19 with preferably 2 years of driving experience required.
• Hospitality or guest service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience or training required.
• Current New Mexico driver’s license with an insurable driving record required.
