Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an Outpatient RN-VAD Coordinator for the Ventricular Assist Device Clinic at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. The role guides patients through every stage of their VAD journey, coordinating care across settings and providing education and support to patients and families.

Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, educate caregivers, and strive for optimal outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• RN license in NC (or compact state) is required.
• Minimum three years of clinical RN experience is required.
• ICU/Cardiac experience is required.
• CCRN is preferred.
• BSN is required.

What We Offer

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p, and On-Call
• Department: Ventricular Assistive Device (VAD) Clinic
• Location: New Hanover Regional Medical Center

What You’ll Do

Join a dedicated team transforming the lives of patients with advanced heart failure. As a VAD Coordinator, you will guide patients through every stage of their VAD journey, coordinating care across settings, providing education and support, and serving as a key resource for patients and families.

Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll coordinate care, educate patients and caregivers, and help achieve the best possible outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN.
• Experience: Minimum three years of clinical RN experience, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Current Registered Nurse in NC or compact state, required.
• Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Demonstrates interdisciplinary leadership skills, superior interpersonal communication skills and knowledge of computer database, data analysis and presentation skills.
• ICU / Cardiac experience is required
• CCRN Preferred
