Job summary

Vance Airscoop in Carbondale, CO is seeking a CDL driver to operate a vacuum truck, service liquid waste accounts, and handle grease trap routes. The role starts early at 5 am and climbs to 8+ hour days with potential adjustments by the manager and employee.

You will assist fleet maintenance, organize oil transfers, and support shop duties, with starting pay of $35.00 per hour and $36.00 after 12 months, plus benefits and bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Drive vacuum truck and service liquid waste accounts with possible special pickups
• Organize and monitor cooking oil, grease and septic transfers
• Assist fleet maintenance and shop organization
• Perform CDL inspections and support routine maintenance
• Complete daily notes and follow-up tasks

Job description

Summary:

performs CDL driving / pumping and cleaning of septic tanks and grease traps

Job Description:

• 40+ hours per week
• 5 am start time, 8+ hour workday, can be adjusted by manager and employee
• responsible for vacuum truck driving and service of all liquid waste accounts, special pickups and emergency pickups possible
• organize and monitor cooking oil, grease and septic transfers
• assist with vehicle fleet operations, maintenance and condition
• Comfortable driving a manual transmission
• assist with shop organization
• Special projects as requested by manager(s)

Compensation:

$35.00 starting pay

$36.00 after 12 months showing full understanding of oil route and small grease trap route, fully capable of completing tasks and routes without guidance and mistakes

*** Additional pay increases based on endorsements acquired – like manual transmission - others

Work Environment:

1. Comfortable working indoors and out, around septic tanks and grease traps, and in crawl spaces and strong odors. In all types of weather.
2. May require access to confined spaces, kneeling, stooping, bending and carrying equipment
3. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted

Daily Expectations:

1. Contact and speak with supervisor before leaving for the day
2. Perform CDL inspections on your vehicle and support maintenance
