Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a hands-on Repair & Material Control Technician to support our Vacuum Services operation in Glassport, PA.

The role combines inventory management, material handling, shipping/receiving, and mechanical repair of vacuum pumps and related equipment. You will receive, move, store, and ship materials, process ERP transactions, perform cycle counts, and maintain organized inventory locations while disassembling, repairing, testing, and painting pumps.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools.
• Basic computer skills and accuracy in data entry.
• Forklift certification preferred; ability to obtain if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Receive, move, store, pick, and ship materials within the facility.
• Process inventory transactions in the ERP system.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain organized inventory locations.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, test, and paint vacuum pumps and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Vacuum Services equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs.
• Operate shop equipment and material handling devices.
• Support Lean and 6S initiatives to improve workplace organization.
