Job summary

Interwest Construction, Inc. is seeking a Vactor Truck Driver to operate a vactor truck under the supervision of the Fleet Trucking Manager. The role involves pre-trip inspections, potholing, cleaning storm lines, and safely handling waste materials on site.

The candidate will drive the vactor truck, report necessary repairs, respond to emergencies, and maintain records of inspections and work. A strong safety orientation and a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work variable shifts.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Commercial driver’s license – Class A with tanker endorsement required.
• Pass examination demonstrating proficiency and knowledge of the vactor truck operation.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate the vactor truck.
• Complete pre-trip inspection of truck and equipment.
• Pothole to locate and expose underground utilities before excavation.
• Clean storm lines, manholes, and catch basins and position the truck correctly.
• Operate truck to dump contents at approved sites.
• Identify and report repairs for utilities and storm structures.
• Respond to emergency calls requiring sewer vactor truck use.
• Develop and update inspection/maintenance schedules.
