Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC in Richmond, VA is seeking a Vactor Operator to join our fast-growing infrastructure team. You will drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks, perform basic diagnostics and maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation on every job.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with typical Monday–Friday hours; some shift work and travel are required. A Class A or B CDL with medical card is mandatory, as is a clean driving record and the ability to pass background and

Qualifications

• CDL license class A or B with medical card required.
• Previous experience in the construction field.
• A record of safe vehicle operation and a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check, reference check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks.
• Perform general diagnostic and maintenance to waste systems.
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspection.
• Carry out laborer duties and special projects as assigned.
• Travel required.
