Job summary

Interwest Construction, Inc. seeks a Vactor Truck Driver to operate the vactor truck in field conditions and support onsite crews.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, potholing, cleaning of lines, and waste containment tasks while ensuring safety compliance and timely reporting to the Fleet Trucking Manager. The role requires a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, ability to work variable shifts, and proficiency in operations and maintenance of field equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work variable shifts.
• Commercial driver’s license – Class A with tanker endorsement.
• Pass examination demonstrating proficiency and knowledge of operation of the vactor truck.
• Thorough knowledge of safety standards and procedures for vactor truck operation.
• Able to learn company procedures, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with confined space entry procedures and SCBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Driving – Vactor truck operation.
• Complete pre-trip inspection of truck and equipment.
• Perform potholing to locate utilities prior to excavation.
• Clean storm lines, manholes, and catch basins.
• Operate truck to dump contents at approved sites.
• Identify repairs and report issues to on-site foreman.
• Respond to emergency calls requiring the vactor truck.
• Maintain inspection and maintenance schedules.
• Follow safety procedures as mandated by DOSH/OSHA.
• Maintain daily records of inspections and work completed.
