Job summary

Cambridge Technologies in Worthington, MN seeks a Research Scientist to coordinate and execute departmental projects and support vaccine development. The role involves data management, preparation of reports, and collaboration with department heads and teams to drive product development.

The candidate will contribute to antigen discovery, formulation, process development, assay development, and efficacy studies, with emphasis on independent project leadership and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Microbiology or related life sciences.
• 2–4 years of experience preferred with Molecular Biology, in-vitro Assay Development, Cell Culture, Recombinant DNA techniques, Virology and Vaccinology expertise.
• Familiar with veterinary biologics, R&D of biologics, diagnostic assays, vaccine production, quality control and regulatory agencies.
• Good verbal and written skills, knowledge of animal care, and good manufacturing, laboratory, and clinical practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assigned projects, experiments, or departmental activities to meet the project goals and timeline.
• Collect, maintain, and organize data in the form of a laboratory notebook, bench record, animal record, electronic project database, and/or production record.
• Communicate data/results in the form of written or oral reports.
• Analyze data and provide an analysis of data/results and provide suggestions for next steps.
• Work independently or lead own projects and ensure accurate documentation of research data.
