Job summary

Merck's Future Talent Program offers a 4–6 month co-op in our Vaccines and Advanced Biotechnologies Process R&D division. Under a project mentor, you will perform lab-scale process development and scale-up studies, and help develop scalable cell culture processes for vaccine production.

You will learn and document results in reports, adhere to safety training, and participate in technology transfer to later-stage groups.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in BS/BA in a STEM field.
• Willingness to work full-time for 4–6 months in 2027.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong lab safety and record-keeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab-scale process development/scale-up studies.
• Develop robust cell culture processes for vaccine production.
• Support pilot-scale GMP campaigns as needed.
• Maintain inventories and assist with technology transfer.
