Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare in Poway is seeking an Immunization Coordinator to ensure vaccine supply and proper administration across clinics. You will work with the immunization team to manage inventory, data entry, and reporting while ensuring compliance with guidelines.

This role requires a Medical Assistant certification, a high school diploma or GED, and a current BLS certification. Bilingual ability may be required by site; work is on-site with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledgeable about and experience with immunizations.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent planning and organizational ability.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.

Responsibilities

  • Validate immunization information and enter data into eClinicalWorks, CAIR, and immunization cards.
  • Identify correct vaccine, order, and dosage for patients.
  • Administer injections and provide VIS sheets to patients.
  • Schedule vaccine appointments, including recall appointments.
  • Run missed opportunity reports and assist with recalls.
  • Provide quarterly vaccine in-services and information to MA staff.
  • Monitor vaccine inventory and temperatures; manage refrigerators/freezers.
